The team at Smile Today Dental offers a myriad of aesthetic treatment options, including composite resin bonding. This treatment can be used to disguise a variety of smile imperfections. Drs. Evelyn Kidonakis and Jinyoung Yoo can discuss this and other treatments to disguise imperfect teeth. Let’s review some frequently asked questions about composite resin bonding often heard by our team in Glenview, Illinois.
Composite resin bonding is best described by our team as a dental procedure where a tooth-colored resin material is applied to your teeth, shaped, and hardened with a special light to improve your smile. It gives your teeth a quick makeover that is both painless and fabulous!
Composite resin bonding is often used to address several imperfections. It can fix chipped teeth, cover discoloration, close small gaps, and even make slightly misaligned teeth look straighter.
Absolutely! The composite resin used specifically matches the exact shade of your existing natural teeth, so it blends right in. People might notice your improved smile, but they won’t know the secret behind it!
Bonding typically lasts three to ten years, depending on how well you care for your teeth and your lifestyle habits. Avoid habits like biting your nails or chewing on pens, as these can reduce the longevity of bonding and other cosmetic treatments.
Not at all! Most of our dental procedures do not even require anesthesia. You will be comfortably sitting in the chair, and before you know it, your smile will be ready to dazzle.
Composite bonding is easy to maintain. Maintain good oral hygiene habits by brushing and flossing regularly, avoiding staining foods and drinks when possible, and visiting our team at our office regularly for check-ups.
Yes! It is one of the more affordable cosmetic dentistry options. It is a great choice if you want a quick, cost-effective way to enhance your smile without breaking the bank. It can give you something to smile about without worrying about your pocketbook!
